What were the challenges?
Onyx is a family-run business that has developed a reputation for organising events, conferences, award ceremonies, communication programmes and videos in some the most unusual locations on the planet. The company has a blue-chip client base, with a particular specialism in the food and drink industry. It decided to draw on this expertise to launch its Onyx Bars initiative.
How did we overcome these challenges?
Having worked with the PKF team since the mid-1990s, Onyx asked us to support the splitting of the business into Onyx Communications and Onyx Bars. We have since helped the management team in a variety of ways, including introducing them to Xero accounting software for instant access to management accounts and in readiness for Making Tax Digital.
What impact did we have?
We have become an integral part of the Onyx team and are on hand to provide strategic and financial advice whenever it is needed. Onyx founder and Chairman, Glenn Julius, said: “Our relationship with PKF goes back many years. During this time, they have become a trusted partner, providing advice and assistance on a whole range of topics.”
