PKF UK & Ireland appoint a new Chair
03 Oct 2018
Les Burnett, the former Managing Partner of PKF Francis Clark, has been appointed Chair of PKF in the UK and Ireland.
PKF UK and Ireland consists of independent member firms including PKF BBA, PKF Cooper Parry, PKF FPM, PKF Francis Clark, Johnston Carmichael, PKF KLSA, PKF Littlejohn and PKF O’Connor, Leddy & Holmes.
Les Burnett joined PKF Francis Clark’s Torquay office in 1981, becoming a partner in 1983. He became the firm’s managing partner in 1999 and oversaw the firm’s growth to become the leading firm of Chartered Accountants and business advisers in the South West, before it joined the PKF network in 2016.
Les has been nominated for and received some prestigious awards including the Leading Edge Alliance’s Outstanding Achievement Award. Les retired from the firm in 2016, remaining active in business in various advisory roles.
Les takes over from Carmine Papa, Managing Partner of PKF Littlejohn, who has served as Chair of PKF UK and Ireland for the past two years.
Les Burnett said:
“It’s an exciting time to be part of the PKF family in the UK and Ireland. We’re investing heavily in our operations and people, we’re introducing additional service lines where we see opportunities to help clients, and we’re winning more work from current and new clients.
“Although we’re independent firms, we’re working together in a joined-up way, which enables us to provide clients with a highly sophisticated service. That opens up considerable opportunities for us to continue to grow in the future.
“Given my long history with PKF Francis Clark, I’m delighted to be taking on the role of Chair of PKF in the UK and Ireland. I am looking forward to working with partners to further build on those key strengths and continue to collaborate and improve the excellent client services and advice we offer.”
